Snappy Careers ("we", "our", "the app") is a job search and career platform operated by SnappyHires. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password (stored as a secure hash).
• Profile information: job title, industry, experience level, preferred city, nationality, visa status, expected salary, languages, and similar details you choose to provide.
• Resumes and documents: resume files you upload or create in the app.
• Voice recordings: if you use the Voice Resume Builder, your spoken answers are recorded and sent for transcription. Recordings are processed to create your resume text and are not used for any other purpose.
• Usage data: in-app interactions used to improve the product (e.g. which features are used).

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account.
• To match you with relevant job opportunities based on your resume and profile.
• To provide AI-powered tools (resume analysis, rewriting, cover letters, interview preparation). Resume text and related inputs are sent to AI service providers (such as OpenAI) solely to generate results for you.
• To provide account-manager services if you subscribe to a premium plan.
• To send you job alerts and service notifications (you can opt out at any time).

3. What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not share your resume with employers without your action (applying to a job).
• We do not collect advertising identifiers or show third-party ads.

4. Data sharing

We share data only with service providers necessary to run the app: cloud hosting, file storage, AI processing (OpenAI), payment processing (Apple App Store / Google Play / RevenueCat), and push notification delivery (Expo). Each provider receives only the minimum data required.

5. Data security

All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Access to production systems is restricted and authenticated.

6. Data retention & deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Support → Delete Account, or by emailing us. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

7. Children

Snappy Careers is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app.
